Paving with different aesthetic pattern and colour options
Block paving provides EV sites with a hard-wearing, professional finish for charging bays, forecourts and pedestrian routes. Blackoak deliver it as part of the full civils package, laid over the same groundworks, drainage and ducting that serve the charging equipment.
Block options for EV projects
Blackoak install Driveline and Tegular blocks, in 50mm depths for walkways and pedestrian areas and 80mm depths for vehicle traffic across charging bays and access routes. Permeable blocks are also available, allowing surface water to drain through the paving.
Every area starts with excavation by digger or breaker, followed by a compacted type 1 sub-base that gives the paving a solid, even foundation. Sharp sand, or an equivalent bedding material, is then screeded to the correct heights and falls across the site.
We set out every area square to the adjacent buildings, kerbs or structures, taking precise measurements and running string lines so each course stays straight throughout the works. Patterns & Styles
Herringbone, 90 degree & 45 degree, brick pattern and basket weave layouts are all available, alongside a range of colours including charcoal, grey, buff, red and natural stone. Contrasting colours and matching kerbs can define parking bays, walkways and borders, giving EV car parks a clear, consistent layout that fits the surrounding development.
