Minimising Disruption
Blackoak Contracts understands the importance of reinstating trenches quickly to prevent excavations being affected by weather, and allowing roads and car parks to reopen for traffic. Where immediate reinstatement is not possible, road plates are installed to provide safe and secure access until permanent works can be completed.
Our Process
All reinstatement is compacted in layers to ensure strength and stability. Each trench is covered with sand, and electric detectable warning mesh is installed for traceability. Protection tiles can also be added when required. We use Type 1 MOT as a sub-base, or permeable clean stone depending on project specifications. Our operatives on site also complete HAVS records to ensure full compliance with Health & Safety guidelines when using compaction tools.
Quality Assurance
As-laid drawings are supplied for all trench work and cable laying to support future reference and maintenance. Where required, CBR testing can be performed to verify ground strength and compliance with site specifications. We also provide WAC testing to ensure materials meet environmental and regulatory standards.
