Here at Blackoak we pride ourselves on being a green company, and we strive to do what we can to help the environment and the future of our planet, so as you can probably guess we are extremely happy with our contribution in the Electric Vehicle Charging sector. We are happy to have installed thousands of EV Chargers across the UK; from single installation for smaller companies, to 100 car capacity car parks with 10 plus Chargers installed, created and installed alongside a full new car park commissioned by Blackoak.
Each job (irrelevant of the size) is treated with the same care, safety and attention to detail with daily Health & safety checks, and job/site progress meetings to ensure the job is completed to the highest standard. Full training is provided to all our experienced staff as well as being briefed fully with an on-site H&S inducted, full PPE and specialist tools (i.e., electricity resistant shovels) are provided to each employee before any work onsite can commence.
Every project we undertake is fully site surveyed so we know everything we need to, the ground is cat scanned to give awareness of services in the ground, then we decide whether a machine or hand dig is most suitable depending on the job, using the overview and the findings from our surveys and checks. We then work in cohesion with the electrician onsite to lay the cables and ducting in the trench. The cabling is laid on a sub-base of sand and covered with more sand and hazard tape so future workers are aware if its presence for safety reasons. The trench is then reinstated and restored to its original state.
Through our reputation in the sector and our attentiveness to detail on each and every job we have managed to form partnerships with some of the biggest providers of EV Chargers across Europe, and have installed charging ports and adjoining car parks for the biggest electric vehicle producers in the world.

We also provide detailed ducting layout drawings, and full ducting layout plans where needed to facilitate the installation of access chambers, inspection pit direction changes, feeder pillars, change point locations and any potential hazards. A complete site survey is carried out on every job to ensure we have all information available to make sure we have every aspect of the job covered. To complete each job and help with the visual aesthetics we also add UV thermal markings where needed. From basic parking spaces to bespoke road and line markings to facilitate all the customers needs.
